Korean dramas are very popular worldwide, due to spread of Korean popular culture the ("Korean Wave"), and are available through streaming services that offer multiple language subtitles. They have received adaptations throughout the world, and have a big impact on other countries.

BLACK is a 2017 fantasy-thriller South Korean Television series starring Song Seung-heon, Go Ara, Lee El and Kim Dong-jun.
Han Moo Gang/Black 444 (Song Seung-heon) is a detective possessed by the Grim Reaper. Ha Ram (Go Ara) can see shadows of death. These two struggles to save people's lives, breaking the rule of heavens. This is a story of a grim reaper who is forced to chase his runaway partner, uncovers the truth about a set of cold-case murders which had occured twenty years ago prior to the main storyline. Investigations of the murders complicates the reaper's primary role of guiding the deceased to their respective afterlife, especially after he falls in love with a mortal woman leading him to break supernatural rules of disinvolvement with human affairs.

FIGHT FOR MY WAY is a South Korean Television series, starring Park Seo-joon and Kim Ji-won with Ahn Jae-hong and Song Ha-yoon.
Ko Dong-Man (Park Seo-joon) used to practice taekwando back in the school days and now he makes a living as a contract employee, while going after the UFC title. Choi Ae Ra (Kim Ji-won) hope to become an announcer, but she gave up her dream. Now, she works at the information desk of a department store.

Shin doesn't want immortality anymore but needs a human's goblin bride in order to end his long life. Meanwhile, Ji Eun-tak (Kim Go-eun) a high school student who despite her painful reality, reamins optimistic. She summons the goblin by chance and through various encounters, ends up falling in love with him. Sunny (Yoo In-na) is an owner of a chicken wing soup, a woman by all men. These four people's lives change and their lives become entangled.

W is a 2016 South Korean Television series, starring Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo. A romance takes place between Kang Chul (Lee Jong-suk) who is super rich and exist in webtoon world, and Oh-Yeon Joo (Han Hyo-joo) who is surgeon in the real world.

Oh-Yeon Joo father mysteriously gone missing from his office while writing his last chapter of his webtoon "W". Yeon Joo was shocked to see a scene of the dying Kang Chul on her father's computer. While reading a note left behind by her father, a hand from the monitor pulled her in and she finds herself on the rooftop of a building next to a bleeding man, She manages to save him and realizes that the person she saved was Kang Chul. Yeon Joo later discovers that she can only leave the webtoon based on Kang Chul's change of feelings. When that happens, the words 'to be continued' will appear and she will teleport back to the real world.

However, after an encounter with Min-kyu, she ends pretending to be a robot in pace of supposed Aji 3 robot. the Aji 3 robot was developed by Ji-ah's ex-boyfriend professor Hong Baek-kyun (Um Ki-joon) and his team. The robot was meant to be tested by Min-kyu, however an accident caused the robot's battery to malfunction. As Baek-kyun modeled the robot after Ji-ah, the team ends up recruiting her to take place of Aji 3.

ReplyDeleteThere's no really specific benefits, but watching k-dramas can prove your english speaking by the subtitles and you can learn korean language too, maybe someday you can understand the kdrama without the subtitles.
